Breakdown of new cases by category, May 6, 2021. Today's import cases are from Egypt (6), Nepal (3), Indonesia (2), Saudi Arabia (2), Singapore (1), Jordan (1) and Japan (1) ).
Putrajaya, 6 May 2021 - Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) was informing the about the recent progress of Covid-19 in Malaysia in a press statement on their website today.
According to the summary, 2,709 (91.7%) patients have recovered which makes it a total of 392,555 cases of recovery; 3,551 new cases (which consist of 16 import cases and 3,535local cases); 19 new death reported; 33,762 total active cases (where 354 patients are located in the ICU and 199 are in need of respiratory aids.
Up until today, the existing active clusters in Malaysia are a whopping 418 clusters including 14 new clusters.
Clusters that has reported to have the highest new cases are: Jalan Besar Sungai Jawi (94 cases), Jalan Padang Tembak (75 cases), and Industri Lengkuk Teknologi (59 cases).
Out of the 14 clusters, eight are the clusters from workspace, two clusters from community spaces, two from education institutions, one from cluster of high risks patients, and one from religious institution.
