Covid-19 cases in Malaysia is expected to increase to more than 8,000 cases per day in June

Shah Alam, 14 May 2021 - Covid-19 cases in Malaysia is forecasted to have a spike in number to more than 8,000 cases daily in June this year.


Through a graph shared by Ministry of Health (KKM), it features a surging trend which projects the probability of an upraise to more than 8,000 case from 13 Mei until 6 June.


KKM in their official Facebook page explained that the infection rate according to the daily cases will have a slight increase to 1.14 Ro/Rt.

In addition to that, Perak recorded the highest infection rate among any other state (1.32), Terengganu (1.29), and Kedah (1.22).


"These states are followed by Pulau Pinang (1.21), Melaka (1.18), Selangor (1.17), and Johor (1.17).


''Then, the list are followed by Negeri Sembilan (1.12), Pahang (1.11), and Kuala Lumpur (1.10)," as stated in the statement on Friday.


In relation to that, KKM advices the public to be mindful and practice SOPs when celebrating Aidilfitri.
